MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel presently benefit from a 20p differential however that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a variety of little businesses in Cornwall currently earn money from used cooking oil".
He added: "In order to have the ability to get this kind of market going it does require just a bit of lift which is available in the form of tax inevitable."
is a mix of traditional diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
