Erectile dysfunction medicines took in Glengormley

Large quantities of unlicensed medications have been taken by Department of Health authorities throughout a search of a home in Glengormley.

A male was spoken with by department officers about illegally importing and subsequently providing unlicensed impotence medications via the internet.

The 47-year-old was likewise questioned about other medicine offenses.

He will now be the topic of a report to the Public Prosecution .

The search was brought out by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, stated: "It is essential that we get the message across that unlicensed medications can be unsafe.

"These kinds of products being offered, normally online, have gone through no quality assurance and there can be no guarantee about their safety.

"You just do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More notably, you do not know the result drugs like this may have on your health."
